Winter woolen items require attention. Most housewives prefer to wash them by hand, despite the fact that modern automatic machines have a delicate mode.
However, clothes that are in demand in winter cannot help but get dirty and therefore have to be washed frequently.
What are housewives afraid of?
In terms of washing, wool is considered a delicate material.
If you choose the wrong temperature or are too clever when choosing programs, then after washing your clothes may become smaller.
And if you dry it incorrectly, it may stretch.
How to wash
1. The water temperature should not be higher than 30 degrees Celsius.
2. When hand washing, many housewives refuse powder and conditioner in favor of hair shampoo.
3. Vinegar is used as a makeshift remedy. They say that it protects the material and preserves the color of things.
4. Woolen items should be washed separately in the machine; all buttons, zippers and other fasteners must be fastened to avoid damaging the fabric.
5. It would be a good idea to place the sweater or scarf in a laundry bag.
It is also recommended to avoid using conditioner. It will make the material denser.
How to dry
If you wash an item correctly, it can still be damaged during drying.
Therefore, it is better to place the clothes on a rack or other surface to allow excess moisture to drain.
Do not wring or squeeze woolen items.
They should be dried horizontally, in a straightened out form, and best of all, placed on a towel, away from heating devices and direct sunlight.
