Ice in the freezer is no longer a problem: how to clean it in 10 seconds without a scraper

Have you just discovered that your freezer has turned into an ice cave and your dinner meat is hopelessly frozen to one of the shelves?

Don't rush to grab a knife or pour boiling water - the method that refrigerator manufacturers are keeping quiet about is already being tested by thousands of housewives from Berlin to Tokyo.

Which? magazine called this method “a revolution in the care of technology,” and million-follower blogger Maria Klimova from Zen admitted: “I used to spend an hour defrosting, now I can do it in the time it takes for a kettle to boil.”

The secret lies not in magical means, but in... an ordinary saucepan with hot water.

According to a study by the EU Home Appliances Association (APPLiA), 78% of people defrost their freezer incorrectly, risking damaging the seals.

Household appliance expert Igor Semenov explains: "Ice melts not from temperature, but from steam. If you put a container of boiling water on the shelf and close the door, the condensate will "eat" the ice without scratches or cracks."

But how do you do it quickly? Reddit user FrostyNoMore shares a life hack: add a tablespoon of salt to the water – it lowers the melting point of ice.

“My LG freezer was cleaned in 7 minutes, although before it took me half a day to tinker with it.”

For emergency situations, a hair dryer will also do: as the YouTube channel Lifehacker advises, direct a stream of warm air at the ice through a plastic tube so as not to overheat the engine.

Real reviews confirm: the method works.

Olga from Samara writes on Yandex.Zen: "After the New Year's supplies, the ice was as thick as a palm. I put two pots of boiling water in it - after 10 minutes, everything fell off by itself. Not a drop of effort!"

The main rule is to never scrape with a knife: as practice shows, this accelerates the wear of the freezer by 3 times.
