To buy good red caviar, you need to carefully study the label.
Vera Serezhina, a medical expert at the medical company LabQuest, told us what else we need to pay attention to.
She revealed the signs of high-quality red caviar in a conversation with RIA Novosti .
How to choose good red caviar
First and foremost, you should not buy caviar from someone or from unauthorized retail outlets.
Secondly, it is extremely important to carefully read the information on the label.
It must indicate: production date, plant number, shift number, name of the fish, special index of the fishing industry.
The date on the tin should be stamped on the inside. If the lid is bulging, you can't take the caviar.
Another point is the composition. The additive E239 has long been banned, but E200, E202, E211 and the like are acceptable preservatives, - said Serezhina.
When buying caviar in a transparent jar, pay attention to the appearance of the product.
The eggs should look whole and crumbly, with the core inside. Also, there shouldn't be much liquid in the jar.
As for taste, caviar should not be bitter. Also, a sign of spoilage is the smell of rancid oil.
Eating such caviar can lead to poisoning. The symptoms are: nausea, abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea.
