Does the dried paint seem to have rendered your brush useless?

Don't rush to say goodbye to your tool - even enamel, oil and acrylic layers can be dissolved as if by magic.

The secret is to use what you already have at home.

For example, white spirit or acetone will remove stubborn paint in minutes: blot the bristles with a paper towel, dip them in the solvent and “bathe” the brush, moving it along the walls of the container, as if drawing spirals.

Then rinse with water and voila!

And if you don’t have any chemicals at hand, fabric softener will help you out!

Mix 30 ml of the product with a liter of water, dip the brush, rub the bristles, and they will become soft as new.

But the real winner is white vinegar. Forget about hardened paint: heat up the vinegar, soak your brush in it for an hour, and the bristles will start bending again.

Didn't help? Leave it for another hour, then wash with soapy water.

After any cleaning, the brush needs to be dried like a pro: place it vertically with the bristles facing up, gently shape it with your fingers, and when the bristles are dry, secure it with an elastic band.

Now the instrument is ready for new exploits - you can paint with oil or create masterpieces with acrylic.

And yes, forget about the words “throw away”: these life hacks will save even the brushes that you have already mentally sent to the trash!
