A washing machine can rightfully be called an irreplaceable assistant for every housewife: it is difficult to imagine how much time and effort it helps to save on washing clothes.
However, if you want this household appliance to serve you for many years, do not forget that it needs regular maintenance.
Over time, scale, mold and detergent residue can build up inside your washing machine, causing unpleasant odors, reduced washing performance and even damage to the appliance.
For this reason, we decided to share a proven method on how to properly care for your washing machine and prevent mold and scale from forming.
How to clean a washing machine at home
To clean your washing machine, you can, of course, use specially created products, or you can use soda.
If you have calcined soda on hand, 100 g will be enough. If you only have baking soda, prepare twice as much – 200 g.
Fill the powder compartment with this product and run a washing cycle for 30-40 minutes at a water temperature of 40-60 degrees. No need to load laundry.
After 20 minutes of operation, press pause and leave the machine alone for 2-3 hours, then finish the washing cycle.
