It depends on the brand of the washing machine. For example, in Hotpoint Ariston machines you need to simultaneously press the "Quick Wash" and "Extra Rinse" buttons.
You need to hold the buttons for about 5 seconds until you hear a beep.
In newer models with a drying function, you need to press and hold the “Steam function” and “Extra rinse” buttons (also until the sound signal).
In Indesit washing machines you need to press the “Easy ironing” and “1/2 spin” buttons, in older models – “A” and “B”.
In LG machines, self-cleaning is activated by pressing the “No Crease” and “Intensive” buttons.
