Once a Week or Two Is a Mistake: How Often Should You Change Your Bed Linen

According to dermatologists, during a night's sleep the human body produces up to a liter of sweat, and not all of it evaporates.

This means that most of this moisture is absorbed into the bed linen. Therefore, the question of how often to change the latter is very important.

In this matter, there is no universal rule that applies to everyone, since everyone has an individual body, that is, everyone sweats differently.

For example, if you do not have excessive sweating or dust allergies, and you do not have animals at home, then you can change your bed linen every 2-3 weeks.

Otherwise – if you sneeze and cough in dusty rooms where cats and dogs are also “registered,” and you also sweat a lot – the change should be done 1-2 times a week.

It is worth remembering that bed linen accumulates skin particles that attract bedbugs.

The best recommendation is to change it when you yourself feel that the bed linen is no longer fresh.

By the way, dermatologists advise changing it twice as often in spring and summer than in winter and autumn.

Approximately: single bed linen – once every two weeks; double bed linen – once a week.

In this case, the following is important: the more people use the laundry, the faster it gets dirty.

Therefore, in summer, when the air temperature exceeds +25 degrees, it is recommended to wash bed linen once a week.
