Opening a glass jar with a screw-on lid quickly and without much effort is a completely realistic task.
We'll tell you a few simple life hacks for opening jars.
How to open a jar with a tight lid
First, you should try to open the jar by wrapping the lid in a dry kitchen towel or plastic wrap.
If it doesn't open, you can hold the lid under hot water for a couple of minutes. The metal will heat up, expand, and come away from the glass.
Or you can place the jar with the lid down in hot water (not boiling water) for half a minute.
You can also tap the lid with a wooden spoon to allow air into the jar.
Either tap the side of the lid on the table or your palm on the bottom of the jar.
Alternatively, you can pry the lid off with the handle of a spoon/fork or a butter knife.
