For many, dust at home is an ineradicable problem.
It seems like yesterday everything was carefully cleaned up, but today it’s right there on tables, cabinets, armchairs, chairs, windowsills and many other horizontal surfaces.
Should we really take a rag again and rush into an unequal battle with this impudent enemy of cleanliness and comfort?
What the maids say
No, it will not be possible to completely eliminate the enemy, but it is quite possible to reduce the number of cleanups to a minimum.
You can use special dust-removing products, of course. But their prices are steep.
Or you can do what wise hotel maids do. Perhaps someone has noticed that when cleaning, they do not always touch the surfaces.
Why? Because there is no need for it. How to achieve such a result? Let's listen to experienced maids.
Recommendations
They say: the first thing to do is to lay a rug by the front door. We start with the hallway, because a lot of dust is brought in from the street.
Bed linen should be made of cotton, linen, and satin. These fabrics do not accumulate much dust, so they are easy to care for.
It is worth cleaning carpets, curtains, furniture. At the same time, you need to clean from top to bottom and with the windows open, so that the dust goes outside and does not move to other surfaces.
It is recommended to wipe the floor more often - there will be less dust and it will become easier to breathe.
Special means
As for special products, instead of store-bought ones, you can use ones you prepare yourself.
Here is the mixture: in a container with 1 liter of water – 200 ml of apple cider vinegar (apple cider vinegar has a more pleasant smell, but regular vinegar will do).
We will put this composition into a spray bottle and use it to apply the product to the surfaces, then wipe it off with a clean cloth.
Second remedy: For 3 liters of water – a tablespoon of glycerin and a tablespoon of salt.
We wipe the surfaces and the floor with the mixture. We enjoy the result.
Third remedy. Antistatic. Spray it on the surface, rub it. After that, dust will accumulate here much more slowly.
