Probably many housewives will agree that the oven is the place that is washed extremely rarely.
Usually, people put off cleaning the oven until better times, and then forget about the grease stains on the walls and dirty baking trays.
When it comes to cleaning, only special products can fix the situation: fortunately, you don’t have to buy them at a household chemicals store, but you can make them yourself, because you’ll need ingredients that are available in any kitchen.
Take baking soda, vinegar and dishwashing liquid in equal proportions, mix them in one container and beat until foam forms and apply the resulting mixture to the dirty areas (or to the entire surface) and leave for several hours.
During this time, the dirt will dissolve and can be simply wiped off with a damp sponge.
It also happens that after a thorough cleaning, there is still an unpleasant smell in the oven.
If ventilation does not help, use the following folk recipe.
You need to take a plate (one that can be heated in the oven), fill it with water and throw a tablet of activated charcoal inside.
Place the container with coal in the oven and boil for several minutes – the repulsive smell will evaporate.
