If you find that your swimming accessories are leaking, don't rush out and buy new ones.
And old mattresses, pools and rings can still be saved by taking just two simple steps.
Find the leak
To find the hole through which air escapes, try moving to some secluded and quiet place and listen carefully: your task is to find where the whistling or hissing sound is coming from.
If this trick doesn't work, prepare a bucket of soapy water and a sponge. Using the sponge, apply the solution to the entire surface of the product - air bubbles will appear where there is a leak.
Finally, you can completely immerse the breathable item in soapy water.
Fill the bathtub with the solution, then lower the slightly inflated product into it and start pumping it with air until you see air bubbles in the water.
Seal the hole
Before fixing a leak, deflate the product completely, then clean the area where the air comes out, coat the patch with glue and press it onto the hole.
To make the repair effective, use a good waterproof glue, and the special patch can be replaced with a piece from an old bathroom curtain, a piece of tarpaulin or duct tape.
Place a stack of books on top and leave them for a few minutes until the glue dries.
