Using hard water causes scale to form in the kettle.
There are many ways to get rid of hard deposits.
However, most of these methods involve the use of "chemistry" and are quite complex.
Luckily, there is one quick and safe way.
We're talking about using... apples. Or rather, apple peels.
It turns out that these fruit residues contain compounds that are great at removing scale.
How to descale a kettle using apples
Take the peels of two apples and throw them into the kettle. Pour a liter of clean water over the peels.
Place the kettle on the stove and turn on the heat.
Once the water boils, reduce the heat to low: the water should boil for another five minutes.
After this, turn off the burner and wait a couple of hours.
Next, empty the kettle and rinse the product. Most likely, after the procedure, there will be no trace of scale left.
Important: the apple peel life hack can only be used for metal and enamel teapots. You shouldn't clean an electric kettle this way.
