Chewing gum freshens your breath, strengthens your teeth, and even helps you cope with stress.
But, despite all the listed advantages, chewing gum also has a significant drawback - it can cause damage to clothing.
However, there is no need to despair – in this article you will find effective methods that will help remove the sticky substance from your favorite things.
Toothpaste
To remove gum, you will need white toothpaste that does not contain colored additives, which should be applied generously to the stain and left until completely dry.
After this, the mass will no longer be sticky and can be easily removed using the blunt side of a knife.
Alcohol
Rubbing alcohol or any strong alcohol should be applied to the chewing gum and left in this state until it softens.
After this, all that remains is to carefully clean the textiles from the sticky mass.
Lemon juice
The acid in lemon juice destroys the rubber. The contaminated area is placed in a small container with freshly squeezed juice.
If it is not possible to completely immerse the piece of clothing in the liquid, the juice is applied directly to the sticky mass. Then you need to wait for a while and carefully remove the gum.
