Many people who have a cast iron radiator installed in their apartment do not consider it necessary to clean this device.
And in vain, because the heating device gets dirty quite quickly.
A radiator covered in dust and stains spoils the appearance of the room. Even if all other surfaces are perfectly clean.
Therefore, it is necessary to clean the battery. Moreover, it is not as difficult as it may seem at first glance.
Cleaning the battery from the inside
Many people are convinced that it is impossible to remove contamination from inside a heating appliance.
In fact, dust removal is quite simple. You just need to use a vacuum cleaner with a narrow nozzle.
If you don't have such a device, you can simply hang a slightly damp towel on the back of the radiator and then "blow" the battery with a hair dryer. All small solid particles will end up on the wet product.
Cleaning the battery from the outside
The surface of the heating device is cleaned with a product prepared as follows: mix soda (2 tbsp), vinegar (1 tbsp) and liquid soap (1 tbsp).
The resulting mixture must be placed in a deep container with a liter of plain water.
The result will be a liquid cleaning agent: you need to soak a piece of cloth with it, which will be used to wipe the battery.
A similar liquid can be used to treat the inside of the battery. To do this, you will need to use an old toothbrush.
