The seams between tiles laid on the walls and floors in the kitchen, toilets and bathrooms may darken over time.
This occurs due to exposure to moisture and aggressive substances contained in detergents and cleaning agents, fat and other contaminants.
To restore the original appearance of the finish, you can use not only industrial preparations, but also improvised means.
Vinegar and water
One effective way to clean tiles is to use regular vinegar mixed with water in equal proportions. This solution should be sprayed over the entire surface, after which it should be cleaned with a brush with hard bristles.
Baking soda and bleach
You can use a mixture of baking soda and bleach to clean the grout, but this method is only suitable for white grout because bleach will affect its color. Make a paste-like mixture and apply it to the joints, then wait until it dries and rinse with water and a brush.
Ammonia solution
To restore the original appearance of the finish, you can use a solution of ammonia. For 2 liters of water, 1 tablespoon of ammonia is enough. The solution, as in the previous cases, should be sprayed and left on the surface for 10 minutes, then washed off with a damp sponge.
