Moving is a big event that requires careful preparation.
One of the key moments of moving is packing and transporting furniture, so today we will tell you about the rules that will help make this labor-intensive process easier.
Cabinets, furniture sets and wall units
Disassembling these pieces of furniture makes loading easier, saves space in the vehicle and makes the transportation process safer. Doors, shelves and units are removed and moving elements are secured with tape.
Antique furniture
It is better not to disassemble it. All decorative elements and moving parts should be removed and secured. The surfaces can be packed using bubble wrap or other materials for protection. Make sure that the structure is secured in the truck using belts.
Upholstered furniture
Sofas and beds require partial disassembly. Poufs and armchairs are usually not disassembled and are carried whole. They are fixed in the car with special cables. Polyethylene film is used for furniture packaging.
Coffee tables, tables and chairs
These pieces of furniture are loaded into the machine fully assembled. However, before that they need to be protected with polyethylene.
Kitchen
Kitchen units are difficult to transport and pack due to their size and weight. If the kitchen has built-in appliances, lighting or glass doors, they must be packed especially carefully and neatly.
