Plastic window sills are a practical and convenient solution for window frames, but over time they can become dull and covered with a yellowish coating. Special chemicals can be used for cleaning. However, there are simpler ways to restore the original appearance of a plastic window sill.
Combination of vinegar and water
Vinegar is a great way to remove yellowing from plastic.
To prepare the solution, mix equal parts vinegar and water in a large container. Then, using a soft cloth or sponge, apply the solution to the plastic window sill and leave for a few minutes.
Next, you need to rinse the surface with plain water and wait for it to dry. This method can be repeated several times until you achieve the desired effect.
Paste of baking soda and hydrogen peroxide
Mix a small amount of soda with hydrogen peroxide until you get a paste-like consistency. Apply this paste to the yellow areas of the plastic window sill for 10-15 minutes.
Next, carefully wash off the paste with water and wipe the window sill with a dry cloth. This method will help get rid of yellowness and return the window sill to whiteness.
Special means
There are many special cleaning products on the market that are designed specifically for cleaning plastic surfaces.
Of course, you should always be careful when choosing them. But, as practice shows, they are more effective in removing various stains. When using special products, it is important to carefully read the instructions.
