White socks are a calling card of a neat appearance and style. But what to do when they start to lose their original whiteness due to stains and dirt?

Most people just throw away such socks without even thinking that they can be washed. Therefore, it is worth considering several methods that have proven their effectiveness.

Soda and acetic acid

You can make a powerful bleaching solution by mixing soda and acetic acid in equal proportions. Next, you need to apply this solution to the stains and leave for 15 minutes. After that, just rinse the socks in warm water.

Lemon juice

Lemon juice is a natural bleaching agent due to its high acidity.

It is enough to squeeze 1-2 lemons and get concentrated juice, in which you need to soak the socks for 30 minutes. After such washing, they need to be rinsed several times.

Paste of hydrogen peroxide and soda

You can also create a paste by mixing hydrogen peroxide with soda. The proportions should be determined individually, based on the size of the socks. The paste should be applied to all stains and left for one hour.

Washing powder with bleaching effect

If the stains are not too stubborn, simply washing the socks in a washing powder with a bleaching effect can fix the situation. Of course, everything here depends on the quality of the socks.

Cooking with lemon peel

Boiling white socks in boiling water with lemon peel is a simple method.

You need to put the socks in a saucepan, add some lemon peel and boil for 20 minutes. This method not only helps to whiten the socks, but also gives them a fresh scent.
