A rare steak is considered a good delicacy, but the quality of the meat must be exceptional.
It is important to understand that raw meat can be harmful to health, as it contains quite a lot of harmful microorganisms.
For example, campylobacter, salmonella, clostridium perfringens and e. coli, as well as Yersinia, may be present.
So you need to think ten times before you eat a rare steak.
How to cook meat properly
Please take the following recommendations into account.
- Do not wash the meat and use a separate cutting board.
- Cook meat to the correct temperature – 145 degrees Fahrenheit minimum, and 165 degrees Fahrenheit for ground meat and poultry.
- The meat dish cannot be left at room temperature for more than 2 hours – put it in the refrigerator.
- Meat must be cooked thoroughly, otherwise you can get E. coli.
