During the process of general cleaning, we encounter many problems that sometimes make us forget about cleaning some areas.
The most vulnerable in this regard is the kitchen, where there are whole "clusters" of containers, cutting boards, small household appliances and other items that we sometimes do not pay enough attention to. You will find a full list of them below.
Small household appliances
Remember the last time you washed your kettle, coffee maker, toaster or waffle iron – not from the outside, but from the inside?
Even if they appear quite clean on the outside, you will likely find crumbs, a layer of carbon deposits, scale and other contaminants inside.
Water filter
A special filter makes tap water drinkable, but are you sure that its walls are still transparent? Most likely not, since most people forget to regularly wipe the walls and bottom of the filter, and at the same time, it can be cleaned with ordinary dishwashing detergent.
Jars for bulk products
Containers for tea, coffee, cereals, flour and other groceries become covered with a layer of dust over time, and their walls become dull. Do not forget to thoroughly wash the jar with detergent each time before pouring a new portion of the product inside.
Freezer
Even if your refrigerator is equipped with a No-Frost system, this does not mean that it does not need regular defrosting; do not forget to take out all the products from it and the freezer from time to time to wipe the compartments.
Cutting boards
When cleaning, it doesn't hurt to pay attention to your cutting boards, even if you wash them after each use.
This is important for two reasons: firstly, particles of raw meat or fish can get stuck in microscopic cracks and cannot be removed with regular dishwashing detergent, and secondly, all foods leave odors on cutting boards, so these kitchen utensils require special disinfection.
