On holidays and in everyday life, fruits can be used as kitchen decoration.
However, open storage of apples, pears and citrus fruits has one drawback - the fruits spoil and do not last long. The reason for this is room temperature.
As a result, midges appear in the flowerpots with rotten supplies, and there is no choice but to throw away healthy fruits.
Fortunately, this problem can be solved, and very simply, i.e. without any special costs.
To do this, you need to take a couple of cloves of garlic and put them in a vase or plate with fruit.
There is no need to peel the garlic for this, otherwise the fruit will be soaked with a not very pleasant aroma.
Thanks to this trick, the fruits will stay fresh longer, but most importantly, you will be able to avoid rot and the appearance of insects.
It is important to remember that many fruits release ethylene during the ripening process.
This gas promotes the ripening of nearby fruits.
Apples and pears, as well as bananas, kiwis and mangoes, emit the most ethylene.
Among stone fruits, apricots, peaches and plums stand out in this regard.
Therefore, it is best to store these fruits in the refrigerator and separately.
