Thin white curtains, especially if they hang in the kitchen, will quickly acquire a yellowish tint if they are not washed. And if they are washed often, they can become gray.

There is one way to restore your curtains to their former luster and shine even without a washing machine. The main thing is to soak them correctly.

We reveal a method for delicate restorative washing of tulle.

1. Fill a basin with water at a temperature of about 30 degrees and leave the tulle for 1 hour. During this time, you will be able to wash off all the dust that has settled in the fabric.

2. Drain the dirty water and rinse the curtain in running water.

3. Fill a basin with clean water, dissolve 500 g of table salt and soak for about an hour, then rinse the curtain in cool water.

4. Fill the water again and this time add a detergent (gel, powder), leave for half an hour, crumple the tulle with your hands, drain the water, rinse the curtain.

5. Soak again and add 5 tablespoons of vinegar to the water. Drain the water after 30 minutes.

6. Soak again, add 1-2 drops of brilliant green.

It's an old trick that makes curtains dazzlingly white and sparkling. But you have to act fast to avoid staining the tulle.

All that remains is to drain the water, rinse the curtain and hang it on the curtain rod.
