Any housewife knows that an incorrectly selected temperature will result in clothes becoming smaller after washing.
First of all, you need to be careful when washing things made from natural materials. Wool and cotton are most susceptible to shrinkage.
Why did the sweater shrink?
A wool sweater may shrink if washed at high temperatures, on a quick wash cycle, or with bleach.
Incorrect drying can also affect the clothes. It is best to dry the sweater straightened out, on a towel and in a horizontal position.
What to do with a shrunken sweater
Fill a suitable container with cold water, add a little hair conditioner and leave the sweater to soak for 30 minutes.
Then all that remains is to drain the solution, squeeze out the water and stretch the garment in all directions.
By using conditioner, the fibers will become softer and the clothes will return to their original shape without serious damage.
