Copper items, including teapots, oxidize fairly quickly and begin to turn green over time.

Of course, some housewives prefer this color, which looks great on vintage items.

But if you want to remove this plaque, then it is not at all necessary to buy aggressive chemicals.

It is enough to take a few ingredients that almost every housewife has in her kitchen.

How to clean a copper item

You need to take vinegar, salt, soda and a container that will fit the copper item, in our case a teapot. A large saucepan is best suited for this purpose.

The easiest way to clean is to hold the kettle in water to which you have previously added salt and vinegar.

You need to mix one tablespoon of salt with one cup of vinegar and three cups of water in a saucepan. Then immerse the teapot in the mixture and put the contents on the fire.

Let the water boil for a while. Turn off the heat and take the kettle out when the copper coating has completely disappeared.
