On the Internet, you can often find advice to add eggshells to coffee.
We'll tell you what it gives and how to use this life hack correctly.
Why add eggshells to coffee
The alkaline calcium carbonate contained in the eggshell neutralizes the bitterness, thereby improving the taste of the drink, making it softer.
However, certain rules must be followed. Before adding to coffee, the shell is thoroughly cleaned (including the inside), washed, heat-treated and crushed.
If you are using a coffee maker or espresso machine, place the crushed shells into the coffee funnel.
If you brew coffee in a cup, place the shells in the teapot for a few minutes. For one cup of coffee you need 0.5 teaspoon of shells.
