Many housewives believe that static electricity can be defeated by throwing a ball of foil into the washing machine. Skeptics criticize this advice, and perhaps justifiably so.
The following life hacks are much more reliable means of dealing with static-prone clothes.
Most often, the problem makes itself felt in the cold season. Sticking dresses or shirts cause discomfort.
Lifehack #1
Take a spray bottle, fill it with water and add a drop of fabric softener. Mix well and then treat the items from the inside. This effect should last for several hours.
Hairspray has a similar effect. The items are treated from the inside and from a distance of 20-30 cm. But stains may remain on some fabrics.
Lifehack #2
Housewives have noticed that the least amount of sticking to the body are items that are stored on hangers, but only metal ones.
The metal will absorb all the static electricity. But the inventors do not say for how long the dresses and sweaters will stop sparking and becoming magnetized.
A longer lasting effect is achieved with a metal pin or paper clip, which makes sense to pin to the “electric” clothing.
Lifehack #3
Almost everyone now has wet wipes in their bag or backpack. You need to rub the inside of your clothes with the wipe.
But this effect is not long-lasting. More precisely, the dresses will stick again as soon as the moisture evaporates from the fabric.
