Rust can form on any metal object that is stored outdoors or in a living space.
The rusty coating needs to be fought. In the apartment, corrosion mainly affects the metal shelves in the bathroom, which are not so easy to clean.
Here is a simple and inexpensive recipe that any housewife can prepare in her own kitchen.
You will need only two ingredients that are in every home or can be found in a pharmacy or store.
After such treatment, the rust evaporates on its own.
You will need:
- 10 g citric acid;
- 20 ml hydrogen peroxide;
- suitable capacity.
How to proceed
Take a glass jar, pour citric acid into it, and then add peroxide.
Stir and that's it for the cooking process.
Apply the solution to a sponge or rag and wipe the areas affected by corrosion.
It will be easier to soak small metal parts in a solution of citric acid and hydrogen peroxide.
If the plaque is weak, it will come off on its own and almost immediately. In advanced cases, cleaning or additional treatment may be required.
