Each item is designed for a certain period of use, but we are in no hurry to throw this or that product with an expired shelf life into the trash.

However, there are items with which this trick definitely "won't work". Read more in this article.

1. Toothbrush

If you use your toothbrush according to all the rules, performing hygiene procedures twice a day, then after a few months its bristles will acquire an unsightly appearance.

However, dentists advise changing your toothbrush every 2-3 months not only because of its "appearance": when it is disheveled, it can no longer fully cope with its functions. And microbes accumulate on it every day.

2. Cutting board

Because deep cuts left by a knife are almost impossible to clean properly, they become a habitat for various pathogenic microorganisms.

Toothbrushes

For this reason, it is worth remembering, or better yet, writing down the date of purchase of kitchen utensils: a plastic cutting board should be replaced with a new one after a year, while wood, due to the ability to sand it, according to some experts, can last up to 7 years.

3. Running shoes

Yes, even sports shoes intended for running have an expiration date.

On average, sneakers are designed for 400-500 km, so if you run about 50 km per week, you will have to buy a new pair after 3 months.

However, a more reliable indicator in this matter will not be the numbers, but your own feelings: as soon as you began to feel discomfort when running, to feel pain in your legs, it means that the shock-absorbing ability of the sneakers has significantly decreased.
