The bathroom often turns into a small storage room for everything we need to have at hand. But is it worth keeping all those items that most people store there?
The bathroom is a damp room with frequent temperature changes, which is unacceptable for storage areas.

Solid soap
Solid soap, despite the spread of liquid, is still popular. It is usually bought in several bars, so that it is always at hand. And this supply is stored in the bathroom.
High humidity and temperature changes negatively affect the quality and shelf life of soap.
Instead, place bar soap in your dresser to keep your clothes smelling nice and to help repel moths.
Cosmetics
There are always increased requirements for the storage conditions of cosmetics, especially if you prefer a natural product that does not contain preservatives.
Many cosmetics generally need to be stored in the refrigerator or in a dark, dry room at low temperatures. But certainly not in the bathroom, where skin care cosmetics quickly deteriorate, and decorative cosmetics lose their original characteristics. For example, powder or eyeshadow will lose their texture due to dampness, and lipstick will either "melt" or "freeze" depending on temperature fluctuations. The human eye is unlikely to notice these changes immediately, but the quality of cosmetics will significantly decrease.
Perfumery
The same goes for perfumes, which should be stored in a dry, dark place to prevent oxidation and possible changes to the scent itself. So the bottles don't belong on the bathroom shelf.
Towels
There is no need to keep clean towels, robes and washcloths in the bathroom. This is a great place for bacteria and mold fungi, which multiply especially intensively in a warm, humid environment.
Of course, we are not talking about the things you use. But they should also be dried from time to time on a radiator, or even better in the sun, which kills pathogenic microflora. This is especially true for washcloths and sponges for washing plumbing.
Razors and hair clippers
If you want your clippers and razors to last as long as possible, keep them out of the bathroom. Moisture damages metal blades.
Medicines
The film's image: above the sink hangs a cabinet containing jars of pills. And many have implemented this image into real life.
But medicines should be stored at room temperature and in a dry place. In addition, some ointments or creams should be stored in the refrigerator. Therefore, the bathroom is not a suitable place for a home medicine cabinet.
