Drain blockages are usually caused by organic materials that can be effectively removed with simple means.
Special compounds based on chlorine are used to clean drains. But some housewives have refused to use them for a number of reasons.
For example, chlorine can cause allergies and skin irritation. In addition, many housewives simply like to save money and try not to overpay for things that can be done at home.
How to clean a drain
1. Vinegar and baking soda. This cleaning duo is known to many housewives. To get rid of a blockage, pour a few spoons of soda into the drain, and then pour in ½ cup of white vinegar.
After this, a reaction will occur. The product is left for 15 minutes, and then washed off with hot water.
2. Soda (extra) and citric acid. A similar combination to vinegar and soda, but it works a little softer. Therefore, leave it for 30-60 minutes, but not more than an hour.
3. Crush the dishwasher tablet and then dissolve it in hot water. Pour the resulting solution into the drain in portions. Then, after 5-10 minutes, rinse the solution with a kettle of boiling water.
