Many housewives are sure that if a tea bag has already been poured with boiling water once, then the bag cannot be used a second time. But this is not entirely true.
It is really not worth preparing a new portion of the drink based on such a bag.
But its use for some household purposes is quite realistic.
And we can name at least five interesting ways to reuse tea bags in everyday life.
Washing dishes
Tea bags can easily remove dirt from plates that have hard-to-remove greasy deposits on their surfaces.
It is enough to place the bags in a large container with warm liquid.
Dirty dishes should be placed there as well. After a few hours, the plates can be removed: the sticky layer will have disappeared by that time.
Furniture cleaning
If you brew the tea bag a second time, you will get a liquid that easily cleans wooden surfaces.
There will be no dirt left on the furniture. Moreover, various damages will not be so noticeable.
Removing excess odor from your hands
Chopping onions and cleaning fish can cause your palms to smell bad.
Tea bags will help to remove this excess “aroma”: just wipe your hands with them.
Fighting mice
Rodents don't tolerate the smell of tea well. And you can take advantage of this.
If you leave tea bags in a room where uninvited guests have appeared, the pests will leave the room.
Getting rid of unpleasant odor from shoes
Placing tea bags in your shoes and leaving them for a few hours will absorb any excess odors.
Of course, in this case you need to use dried bags. Or better yet, take a bag that has not been poured with boiling water at all.
