A kitchen sponge should not be used for too long. Every housewife knows this.
Usually, the soft product is thrown away immediately after it starts to become dirty and sticky.
But experienced housewives assure that you need to get rid of the kitchen sponge much earlier.
The porous frame should be thrown into the trash before the first signs of dirt and wear appear.
When to throw away a sponge
You should focus not on the condition of the product (it will still seem relatively new and fresh), but on the duration of its use.
Ten days have passed since you started using the sponge? Throw it away, even if it looks clean.
And it is advisable to do this within seven days.
Ideally, you should use the new product weekly.
The fact is that one week of active use of the sponge is enough for many dangerous microorganisms to appear on the surface of the material.
The housewife may not see any signs of contamination at all. But this does not mean that the sponge can be used further.
