As you know, the keys of a piano or grand piano are covered with ivory or plastic.
Over time, this material, which was recently white, acquires a yellow tint.
Not only time but also skin oil, dust and other contaminants can affect the color change of keys.
To make your instrument look like new again, you don’t need to go to a specialty store in search of a cleaning product – instead, you can use a common life hack with toothpaste.
Apply a small amount of toothpaste to the stained surface and gently wipe the keys with a damp, lint-free cloth.
After completing the procedure, use the same cloth, only dry, to remove the remaining paste.
By the way, a less common but equally effective remedy, tooth powder, is an excellent replacement for toothpaste.
It needs to be applied to a damp cloth and used to clean the keys, and then polished.
