Many modern microwave ovens are equipped with a function called steam cleaning.
But if you are not so lucky, you can create similar conditions yourself to soak all the dirt and grease stains, and then wipe them off with one stroke of a sponge.
To do this, you will need, firstly, a container that is suitable for use in a microwave.
Fill it with water and add the zest from one orange.
Now you should close the door of the appliance, set the maximum power on the control panel and let the microwave work for 5 minutes.
But that's not all - don't rush to open the microwave when the specified time is up.
Instead, leave it alone for another 20 minutes, and only after this time, open the door and clean the inside using a soft sponge.
This method is no less effective than the vinegar option that many housewives are used to, but, believe me, it is much more aromatic. By the way, orange zest can be replaced with a couple of lemon slices – the effect will be similar.
