Thistle is a hardy weed that is difficult to get rid of.
The plant grows on the plot for years, causing indignation among summer residents who weed the soil time and time again.
Experienced gardeners have long since put the hoe aside. They get rid of thistles differently. To do this, they create conditions under which the weed disappears forever.
The plant does not like shade. The weed needs sunlight. Only then will it develop and take over new territory.
Therefore, it is enough to shade the burdock so that it withers. You can plant a tree or make do with improvised means: roofing felt, sheet steel and even a cardboard box.
Or you can make a homemade herbicide, which consists of vinegar (at least 20% acetic acid) and salt. Then you don’t need to shade the thistle. The solution is applied during the day, when the sun’s activity is at its maximum.
The weed will be destroyed in a few days. When spraying, it is important that the solution does not get on the cultivated plants, otherwise they will suffer.
