The humidity in the bathroom is an ideal environment for the growth of germs and mold, so it is especially important to clean it often, just like the toilet and shower.

However, to do this, it is not necessary to use expensive special products, which are often harmful to the environment.

Introducing an inexpensive alternative cleaner that will have your bathtub sparkling again in minutes.

Clean Your Bathtub in No Time - Here's How It Works

Dissolve one or two tablespoons of mild soap in about a liter of warm water and apply the mixture to the entire surface of the bathtub using a regular sponge or cloth. Let the soap sit for a few minutes, then rinse with clean water until there is no soap left.

Note

If you have particularly hard water, it's best to use a limescale remover. You can make your own, by the way.

For your homemade all-purpose cleaner you will need:

  • 50 grams of citric acid;
  • 1 drop of eco-friendly detergent;
  • 500 milliliters of warm water;
  • to make the product smell nice: 10 drops of essential oil, such as lemon, lime or orange;
  • an empty spray or cleaning product bottle.

Please follow these steps.

1. Pour warm water into an empty bottle and add citric acid.
2. Close the bottle and shake the ingredients vigorously once to mix them together.
3. Now add dish soap and then add a drop of essential oil.
4. Close the container and shake it again - you can use the cleaner.

Alternatively, you can also clean the tub with regular dishwasher tablets, which remove discoloration and limescale deposits, among other things. Fill the tub with water and add one or two tablets. Let the solution sit for a few hours, then rinse the tub thoroughly.

Yellow stains and streaks, which are usually caused by dripping faucets and shower heads, can be easily removed using a paste of vinegar and salt. Apply the mixture to the affected areas and leave for a few hours. Then rinse the paste off with clean water.
