Linoleum becomes covered with stains and streaks in a short period of time.
In the kitchen, the floor covering becomes sticky due to grease, and in the hallway, shoes bring not only dirt but also germs.
Experienced housewives know that water alone is not enough to wash the floor. At a minimum, liquid soap or cheap shampoo is added to the liquid.
But in this case, you won’t be able to avoid streaks unless you wash the floors a second time with regular water.
In order not to stretch out the cleaning for the whole day and at the same time effectively wash the floor covering, housewives use two products.
Linseed oil and vinegar can clean even a greasy kitchen floor to a shine. These products are ideal for linoleum. They are mixed in equal proportions with water and the resulting liquid is used to wash the floors.
Vinegar can be used without linseed oil. In this case, take 200 ml of acid per 4 liters of water. But it is worth remembering that vinegar removes wax, so it should be used with caution to disinfect wooden floors.
Acid is also not suitable for natural stone. Vinegar can be used to wash ceramics and vinyl floors in addition to linoleum.
