Not everyone thinks about how dirty winter boots become if they are not properly cared for.
While polishing the outside, they ignore cleaning the inside. In this case, an unpleasant smell, and sometimes even fungus, are guaranteed.
No less germs accumulate inside shoes and boots than on the outer surface. Even expensive shoes begin to emit an unpleasant odor over time.
The problem can be solved by special sprays and deodorants with an antifungal effect. However, there is a more effective way.
How to care for winter shoes
1. Wash the insoles periodically. You can pre-soak them in a solution of washing gel with the addition of conditioner.
2. The longer the shoes are wet, the faster the unpleasant smell and fungus will appear. Therefore, you need to dry your shoes regularly. But it is better not to put your shoes directly on the radiator, because the microbes will multiply more actively.
3. It is better to place the shoes near the radiator and put table salt inside, which will perfectly absorb moisture.
You can take old socks, pour 3-4 tablespoons of salt into them, tie them up and place them inside the shoe. For aromatization, you can drop a little essential oil on the sock.
