Sometimes the TV remote control stops working. And a person cannot always understand what the problem is - whether the device itself is broken or the batteries are dead.
One simple test will help you find out.
The procedure will take literally a few seconds or even one second.
You only need two things: the battery itself and a hard surface on which you can drop the battery.
How to conduct the test correctly
You need to drop the battery from a height of 15 cm and look at the “behavior” of the power element.
If the battery is not discharged, the bounce will be insignificant.
But if the device begins to look more like a bouncy ball, then the person is dealing with an almost completely discharged battery.
The more bounces and jumps an electrical element makes, the more serious the discharge can be.
In this situation, it is worth replacing the batteries: most likely, the problem is in them, and not in the remote control or any other device that has stopped working.
