Locks equipped with a “tongue” sometimes become a real problem – the door can easily slam shut, making it completely impossible to get inside.
But even in such a situation, you shouldn’t give up – you can solve the unexpected problem yourself.

To do this, you will need a regular plastic card - there is no point in using a payment document, but a discount card from some store will come in very handy.
As a last resort, you can arm yourself with a laminated pass. Slide the product into the crack between the lock and the strike plate.
And here there are two possible scenarios: if the tongue is positioned with the beveled side towards the entrance, opening the lock will not be difficult.
But if the tongue is not beveled towards the entrance, you will have to try to hook it with the card and move it. If it doesn't work the first time, don't despair, but keep trying to get inside.
Finally, we note that this method, unfortunately, will not help if the door has a cover plate that covers the gap between the frame and the door leaf.
