Midges fly into apartments and houses and breed all year round.

You can deal with this all-season phenomenon with a simple trap. However, it is better, of course, not to allow the appearance of small insects.

Reasons for the appearance

You won't be able to catch annoying midges with your hands. So first you need to find the source of the problem. For example, it could be rotten fruits or vegetables on the table.

Damp soil in flower pots. If you water plants without measure, you can create favorable conditions for the reproduction of insects.

Midge trap

To create a trap, you will need a jar (0.5-1 l). Fruit bait is placed on the bottom, for example, several pieces of apple or pear.

Dissolve 1 tbsp of sugar in 100-200 ml of water. Pour the liquid over the fruit bait. Attach a paper bag (like for seeds) on top with tape.

The trap is placed where a lot of midges are noticed. Having smelled the delicacy, the insects will rush inside and will not get back out.

In about a day all the midges will be in the jar. All that remains is to close it and throw it away.
