Warm footwear from autumn to spring will be under reliable protection of budget funds.
Not everyone is in a hurry to buy special sprays. Some hesitate because of the strong smell of "chemicals", some just want to save money.
But everyone wants to give their shoes a presentable look and extend their service life. These two problems can be solved with the help of a folk remedy.
Water repellent
To protect shoes from moisture, you will need candle wax. It needs to be melted in a water bath, and then rub the shoes or boots with it using a rag. Pay special attention to the seams.
The wax creates a protective film that water cannot penetrate, so the product will perform the same task as a store-bought spray.
In addition, for preventive purposes, experts advise periodically wiping shoes with sunflower oil.
Instead of wax, you can use paraffin. You can also prepare a mixture with glycerin:
- glycerin – 20 g;
- fish oil – 40 g;
- turpentine – 30 g;
- beeswax or paraffin – 10 g.
The ingredients are mixed and then applied to the skin using a cloth or sponge.
