Many housewives fill their work surface with various objects. But what's the point of filling the tabletop?

If you place a lot of items on it, there is no point in talking about comfortable cooking and ergonomics.

Household appliances

Household appliances have become indispensable for many housewives. But is it worth placing them on the work surface? It’s one thing if there is:

  1. Kettle.
  2. Coffee maker.
  3. A multicooker that is used regularly.

The rest of the household appliances should be placed in cabinets or hung on special shelves. A simple example: a microwave oven will be better if it is attached to the wall.

And if we talk about the tester and blender, they should be somewhere in the cupboard. Such household appliances are not used often, but always fill up useful space.

Decor

It creates a false impression that decorative items improve the appearance of any kitchen. But is it really that obvious?

The decor only accumulates dust and other contaminants that appear due to cooking.

And here we should not forget the rational side of the issue, since decorative items simply take up useful space and do not bring any benefit.

It is better to store all decorative elements behind glass doors or place them on a wall that is located far from the stove.

Cutlery

Placing cutlery may seem like a logical decision, but it's always worth paying attention to the details.

All cutlery placed on the work surface will take up useful space and accumulate dust.

It's all about simple hygiene and convenience. It's best to place cutlery in a cabinet above the sink or in drawers using special stands.

Spices

Some housewives boldly place spices on the work surface, without even thinking about the negative effects that will manifest themselves.

There are several reasons to refuse such placement.

  1. Spices are not used very often. It makes sense to leave only salt, sugar and pepper on the countertop.
  2. If spices are left on the work surface, they will quickly lose their properties.

To store spices, use airtight packaging or glass jars with a tight lid. You should definitely not store spices in an open form, such a habit will only provoke negativity.

Vegetable oil

Bottles of vegetable oil should not be placed on the countertop because it takes up a lot of space. It is also worth remembering about storage conditions. If vegetable oil is on a sunny countertop near the stove, it will quickly lose its properties. Vegetable oil should be located in a dark and cool place. The kitchen cabinet below can be called the ideal place to store this product.

Cleaning products

Leaving cleaning products on the countertop is a serious mistake. Some of the chemicals can get into food, which will lead to negative consequences. All cleaning products should be stored under the sink in a cabinet where there are no other products.
