Near air conditioners and above heating devices
In a museum, they always try to create ideal conditions for storing paintings. If the temperature changes gradually or the paint is exposed to dry air, it may simply crack. Therefore, it is unacceptable to place oil paintings above heating devices or air conditioners.
Places with high humidity
This may include:
- Bathroom.
- Above the pool.
- Bathhouse.
The most interesting thing is that even in the kitchen it is strongly not recommended to place oil paintings. During cooking, an increased amount of steam may be released, due to which the painting will lose its basic properties. Also, cooking leads to a change in temperature.
In direct sunlight
