Among the many popular methods for clearing a blockage in a kitchen sewer pipe, there are often some that are more strange than effective.

So it is suggested to pour boiling water, vinegar or soda and salt into the pipe. If there is any effect from these means, you have to wait for it for quite a long time.

However, when it comes to household chemicals, folk ingenuity has made great strides in this regard. We will tell you what household chemicals can help out if you don't have any pipe cleaners at hand.

Option one

If there are dishwasher cleaning tablets, then you don't need to think of anything else. Compared to specialized chemicals, this may be expensive, but if there is no other option, then there is no time to think. The tablet must be removed from the package, crushed, poured with a liter of boiling water and, after complete dissolution, poured into the sink. If the drain does not work at all, then you can pour the product into a completely clogged sink and in the morning all that remains is to remove the garbage and pour hot water.

Option two

Take 150 grams of washing powder and the same amount of soda ash per 1 liter of boiling water, dissolve and pour into the sink. The product helps even with very strong blockages caused not only by fat accumulations, but also by the remains of stuck food.

Option three

Persalt can help to remove even a severe blockage. To do this, pour ½ a package of persalt into the clogged sink, add 3 liters of boiling water and leave overnight.

Then all that remains is to rinse the sink and pipes with hot water.
