Every housewife has encountered difficulties when cleaning the handles of the stove. With touch stoves everything is much easier, but with gas stoves you need to work.
However, there are seven effective cleaning methods that will help you get rid of dirt quickly.
Method on how to remove handles
The handles are not always removable, so you should consult the instructions. If there are no instructions, try to gently pull the handles towards you - the removable ones will come off easily.
Cleaning the handles
Prepare a soda solution. You will need 0.5 liters of hot water and 2-3 tablespoons of soda. Dip the handles in the solution for 15-20 minutes. Then clean them with an old toothbrush and rinse with water.
Method of how to clean non-removable handles
Laundry soap
It contains alkali, so it is used not only to wash things, but also to remove dirt from surfaces. Grate some of the soap on a fine grater, add 0.5 cups of boiling water and mix thoroughly. Take the solution with a sponge and wash the handles and the area around them. Then wipe everything with a damp cloth, and then with a dry cloth.
Soda and peroxide
Mix 2 teaspoons of baking soda and a little hydrogen peroxide until a thick paste forms. Spread the mixture over the handles with a toothbrush, leave for 5-6 minutes, and then scrub thoroughly. After that, wipe everything with a damp cloth.
Salicylic acid
Soak a cotton pad or cotton swab in 1% salicylic acid and clean the handles. Then wipe with a dry cloth.
Wet wipes
Alcohol wipes will clean your hands well if they are not too dirty.
Ammonia-anise drops
Apply a small amount of solution to a cotton pad or swab and clean the stove handles. If the level of contamination is high, the drops should be left for a few minutes and then rubbed off.
Chatterbox
Prepared from alcohol, glycerin, ammonia and water. All components are taken in equal proportions. Apply the mixture to the handles with a toothbrush, leave for 5 minutes and clean with the same brush. Then wipe everything with a damp cloth.
Lemon juice
Squeeze the lemon juice and apply it to the stove handles with a toothbrush. If the stain still remains, you can add soda. To do this, dip a toothbrush in it and scrub the handles. You can alternate lemon juice and soda until the dirt is washed off. Then wipe everything dry. For low levels of contamination, a solution of citric acid will do. To do this, mix 2 teaspoons of acid and 1 glass of water. Leave the solution for 30 minutes, then rinse.
