As probably all owners of suede shoes know, you can put ankle boots or boots in order by holding them over a stream of steam.
However, this procedure should not be carried out with boots made of eco-suede - the boots may become warped or shrink and will certainly lose their attractive appearance.
Instead, the suede analogue should be cleaned of dust with a brush after each wearing.
If dirt gets on your shoes, let it dry and then remove it again with a stiff brush. Wet cloths are not suitable for washing such items.
A stain on artificial suede shoes can most often be removed with a regular soap solution.
It is used in cases where the cause of contamination is alcoholic drinks (not dark), coffee, tea, milk, fruits or juices.
If you spill a glass of red wine or juice, mix water and vinegar in equal volumes. A beer stain can be removed with 3% methyl alcohol.
It often happens that marks on suede are left by oil paint, a ballpoint pen or a felt-tip pen. In such a situation, turpentine will help you out.
Blood and chocolate stains are first wiped with ammonia, then well-whipped soap foam is used.
Once you're done removing the stains, let the shoes dry and then brush the suede to restore the nap.
