Quite often, the Velcro on children's clothes or shoes starts to come unglued. In order not to lose sandals on the road or avoid other troubles, this fastener can be restored.
We will tell you how to do it yourself, without the services of a workshop and without even leaving your home.
How to proceed
Most often, Velcro stops holding parts of clothing or other items because debris gets tangled in it.
This could be dust, matted hair, or even grass or other vegetation.
At the first stage, the main goal is to tidy up the material, clearing it of all junk. It is more convenient to do this with tweezers, a needle or a pin.
Next you will need either a hair dryer or a regular lighter.
You need to heat up the Velcro pile, which has noticeably frayed. Heating should only shrink the pile, so it is better to treat them with a hair dryer. But if you don’t have one, you can do it over an open fire, the main thing is that the pile does not start to melt or burn.
After such cleaning the fasteners will be as good as new.
