How to Dry Soaking Wet Shoes: All You Need Is Baking Soda

Wet snow, as well as pouring rain, which winter occasionally “spoils” us with, are a real test for shoes.

This is due to the fact that wet shoes are most often sent to dry on a radiator, as a result of which the appearance of the shoes is spoiled, they become deformed, and the sole may even crack.

Luckily, there is an alternative way to keep your boots dry in the morning without the help of heating devices.

First, check if the insole can be removed from the shoes. This part can be dried on a warm (not hot) radiator.

Then, arm yourself with paper towels and, using blotting movements, try to get rid of the moisture that has accumulated in the shoes.

If the upper part of the boots is made of a soft material like suede, blot them with towels not only from the inside, but also from the outside.

After this, all that remains is to find a couple of old socks and pour half a pack of baking soda into each of them.

Tie the socks with an elastic band to prevent their contents from spilling out and place them in your shoes where they should remain for at least 8 hours.
