Belarus has developed a domestic analogue of the American Starlink system for the republic’s army.
It is expected that the new product will be available to the military very soon – by the beginning of December.
The Chief of Communications of the Armed Forces - Chief of the Communications Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus Vadim Romaniv reported this on the air of the Belarus 1 TV channel.
Bringing it almost to perfection
According to him, last year the Belarusian analogue of Starlink was presented to Alexander Lukashenko.
This year it was improved and brought “almost to perfection”: the quality of the complex was improved, and more services were offered.
We are already demonstrating its capabilities today. And before the start of the new academic year (in the army it starts in December – Ed.) it will be in the troops, – assured the representative of the General Staff.
In turn, the Chief of the Missile Troops and Artillery of the Armed Forces - Chief of the Missile Troops and Artillery Directorate of the General Staff Ruslan Chekhov noted that Belarusian soldiers are currently training, including at Russian training grounds, to deliver high-precision strikes with all available means.
Combat training
He also said that a large volume of tasks had been completed by the missile forces, primarily in terms of strengthening the Belarusian borders.
In addition, combat training sessions were actively conducted, culminating in a test training session with missile forces at a Russian training ground.
There, the Belarusian military “carried out launches from the Polonez, Tochka, and Smerch systems,” Chekhov reported.
